Can you recommend some good books?

Some thing good. I basically read any genre [please no series unless they are EXTREMELY recommended]. Remember, this is for a 13 year old, so minimal sexuality. Swearing is ok. I've really liked the style of Garth Nix, Stephen King, Eric Walters, Brian Jacques, and some others. Thank you...Don't be afraid to recommend more "adult books" because of my age.
